The letters contain their reminiscences of Washington University program in Thailand in the early 1950s as part of the Medical Education Exchange Program. Documents from 1952 Dean's correspondence are a controversial "Coronet" magazine article on Eiseman, March 1952 and Robert A. Moore's report on medical education in Thailand.

This collection contains records of Jessie Ternberg’s career as a pediatric surgeon at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital and as a professor of surgery at Washington University School of Medicine.

The collection primarily contains photographs of children, likely patients, that Dr. Ternberg kept in her office at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital and reprints of Dr. Ternberg’s publications. The collection also includes correspondence with patients and patients’ families, Dr. Ternberg’s curriculum vitae, article drafts and lecture scripts, Dr. Ternberg’s white coat, several surgical instruments, and a video recording of a memorial tribute to Dr. Ternberg after her death.

Many of the photographs in the collection were displayed on a bulletin board or in frames in Dr. Ternberg’s office. The photographs and correspondence show the long relationships the children and families had with Dr. Ternberg and the impact she had on their lives; photographs from several families span a decade or more. The correspondence includes several thank you notes from patients and their families written to Dr. Ternberg many years following the time she served as their doctor; two notes were sent at least 20 years later.

1) One bound volume of congratulatory letters given to Dr. Becker on the occasion of his 25th anniversary as chair of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, April 27th, 1979.

2) Two 5x7 inch silver gelatin photographs of the staff of the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, the first dated circa 1954, the second dated circa 1979.
3) One pamphlet for the occasion of the 25th anniversary including a list of contributors toward an endowment fund in honor of Bernard Becker, April 27th, 1979.

The Eli Robins papers are arranged in twenty-seven organizational series on the administration of the Psychiatry Department from 1962-1975 and the research of the Eli Robins labs.  The bulk of the collection is in the General Correspondence files (Series 4), General files (Series 5), Associations and Societies (Series 6), and Laboratory Notebooks and Records (Series 19).  Included in the Robins papers are letters, a complete set of Journal articles (Series 1), and handwritten notes. In addition, there are drafts of articles that Dr. Robins and members of his lab compiled for publication and corresponding data collection documents used for research and analysis.

The Robert E. Shank papers include correspondence, reports, documents, architectural plans, manuscripts, speeches, and conference proceedings. The files document his interests in nutrition, diet, rehabilitation, and hospital administration. Also notable among them are information on his direction of the Department of Preventive Medicine and Public Health and its programs. RES played a leading role in the construction of two Medical Center buildings, the Irene Walter Johnson Institute of Rehabilitation and the David P. Wohl, Jr. Memorial Clinics and in the development of the services housed there. RES’s papers also contain files on his work with the Office of the Surgeon General of the Army and government-sponsored nutrition programs in Latin America.

The Palmer H. Futcher note file on Internal Medicine Department presentations, was started by Dr. Futcher during his tenure as assistant professor of medicine, 1946-1948.  The card file consists of 4 x 6 inch cards, arranged in two parts, (1) names of presenters, and (2) subjects of their presentations.  Futcher’s actual lecture notes are filed in the subject file, with the presenter file serving as an index. Presenters include W. Barry Wood, Carl V. Moore, Edward Reinhard, etc., with guests from other departments, including Carl F. Cori and Robert A. Moore. Notes from presentations in the 1960-1980s are also in the subject file, although most are from 1946-1948.
