Biographical history

Toshio Nishi immigrated to the United States from China in 1955 and became a resident in pathology at St. Louis City Hospital No. 1 in 1956. He finished his residency training in 1959, the same year that he was awarded U.S. citizenship. He became an anatomical and clinical pathologist at Homer G. Phillips and also served as a pathologist at St. Louis City Hospital until 1963. Hew as a Life member of the St. Louis Medical Society.
