This collection consists of 872 8x10 black and white photographic prints and 12 35mm black and white negatives featuring staff and students of Washington University School of Medicine. This collection of photographs was created by Medical Public Affairs from 1980 through 1985.

Approximately 7,600 photographs, slides, and negatives of Washington University School of Medicine faculty, staff, facilities, and events created by the office of Medical Public Affairs, primarily from 1980 to 2000.

This collecion consists of 566 photographs, negatives, slides, certificates, and artifacts that document the professional life of Mildred Trotter. Depicted subjects include portraits of Trotter from childhood and throughout her career, portraits of colleagues, and former students, as well as group portraits of Trotter at various class reunions from Mount Holyoke College and Washington University School of Medicine. Other significant subjects in this collection include: various views of Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda, where Trotter spent a term teaching at Makerere University College; photographs from Trotter's work with the U.S. Army Graves Registration Service at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii; and trips to China, Taiwan, and Antarctica.

This collection consists of 129 photographs depicting African-American alumni, students, and faculty of Washington University School of Medicine. The photographs primarily depict an event honoring members of the class of 1983 and a lecture or address given by James R. Gavin, III, Aubrey R. Morrison, and Joseph R. Simpson. The photographs also depict men and women at other alumni events.

Exhibit materials.

This collection consists of 5 reproductions of drawings depicting 19th century medical school buildings. The depicted medical schools are unidentified with the exception of the University of Pennsylvania, which is captioned as "the first medical school in America."

This collection consists of 6 photographs from the Saint Louis Medical Society. Depicted subjects include two building exteriors, including the first Lutheran Hospital building, and four group portraits.

This collection consists of 37 photographs bound in an album depicting scenes from the Nobel Science Hall dedication weekend at Gustavus Adolphus College, St. Peter, Minnesota. Carl F. Cori was in attendance and appears in two of the photographs.

7 Prints of 6 illustrations painted by Norman Rockwell and commissioned by the Upjohn Company.

This collection consists of a disbound, partial copy of the book "Notable St. Louisans in 1900: A portrait gallery of men whose energy and ability have contributed largely towards making St. Louis the commerical and financial metropolis of the west, southwest, and south," Edited by James Cox. The pages are only those containing portraits of St. Louis physicians, pages 121-221. There is a complete copy of the book in the ARB reference collection (F 474 .S2 C877n 1900).

This collection consists of 8 portrait reproductions of noted scientists, including Petrus Campter, George Cuvier, Hermann Helmholtz, Hippocrates, Edward Jenner, Joseph Lister, Johannes Mueller, and Carl Weigert.

This collection consists of 3 photographs and 1 certificate from the Nu Sigma Nu fraternity. The photographs are all group portraits from 1930-1932, and the certificate is the original Washington Unviersity St. Louis chapter charter from 1900.

This collection consists of 2103 photographs and artifacts from the St. Louis School for Occupational Therapy and the Washington University School of Medicine Program in Occupational Therapy. Most of the photographs depict faculty, staff, and students. Some of the photographs depict Occupational Therapists and patients at various military hospitals in the United States during World War II. The majority of photographs were originally bound in scrabooks.

This collection consists of 3 photographs depicting exterior views of the old Shriner's Hospital building at 700 S. Euclid Avenue.

This collection consists of 37 metal printing plates from the Omega Beta Pi medical fraternity. The plates are primarily copper printing plates depicting portraits of Omega Beta Pi members.

This collection consists of 22 photographs of Omega Beta Pi fraternity members and exterior views of their chapter houses. The images were published in issues of "The Cover Glass," the official publication of the Omega Beta Pi Fraternity. See PC051 for issues of The Cover Glass.
