This collection consists of 64 photographs, drawings, certificates, and artifacts from the medical and military career of Thomas H. Burford. Photographs include group portraits with friends and colleagues and portraits of Evarts A. Graham. Drawings are by F.C. Kelly and depict surgical proceedures. Certificates include diplomas, awards, military appointment and discharge certificates, proclamations, certificates of appreciation, and in memorium certificates. Artifacts include a key to the city of Vicennes, Indiana, foreign currency collected during Burford's overseas military service during World War II, and a Society of Thoracic Surgery felt badge.

This collection consists of 28 photographs from the life of E.V. Cowdry. The photographs are primarily portraits of Cowdry. The collection also includes photos depicting E.V. Cowdry's father, Nathaniel Harrington Cowdry, and group portraits of International Cancer Research Commission members.

This collection consists of 666 photographs depicting case study patients, x-rays, kymograms, cholecystograms, autopsy specimens, gallbladder cholangiograms, and various figures used in research publications by Wendell G. Scott.

This collection consists of 32 images depicting Washington University School of Nursing interiors, events, and students. The bulk of the collection consists of interiors from a promotional booklet produced by Washington Unviersity School of Nursing. These images were individually digitized, and the collection still includes the original booklet. The collection also includes scenes from Washington University School of Nursing homecoming parades, three images of unidentified nursing students, and a composite portrait of the class of June 1953.

This collection consists of 58 photographs, primarily depicting interiors of the Washington University School of Medicine Department of Anatomy taken in 1925, 1969, 1970, and 1978. VC202016, VC202017, VC202017A, VC202018, and VC202019 show a view of the streetcar stop in front of the Clinic/West Building looking from the North Building 4th floor anatomy labs, 1926.

This collection consists of 7 35mm slides; reproductions of illustrations from Howard's autobiography entitled "Ten Weeks with Chinese Bandits."

This collection consists of 18 photographs mostly depicting exterior views of Washington University Medical Center buildings circa 1975. Also included in the collection is a construction photograph of St. Louis Maternity Hospital, and an interior photograph of W. Barry Wood, Jr., giving a lecture in the Barnes Hospital Ampitheater.

This collection consists of 45 digital surrogates of photographs depicting John E. Kirk and colleagues throughout his career. Subjects include portraits of Kirk in various settings, including his driver's license and a military portrait from his youth in Denmark, as well as photographs of his employees and colleagues at the Chronic Hospital's Division of Gerontology in St. Louis.

This collection conists of 10 glass lantern slides depicting the floorplans and blueprints for the proposed additions to the second Central Institute for the Deaf building, originally drawn in 1927.

This collection consists of 155 photographs, drawings, and certificates documenting the personal and professional life of Margaret G. Smith. Photographs depict Smith, her family, and her colleagues at Washington University School of Medicine,  views of Smith's laboratory and mosquito specimens, and microscopic images of various research specimens. The collection also includes sketches and drawings Smith made as she traveled; most of the sketches depict architecture in Bavaria, Germany. Finally, this collection also includes certificates and awards presented to Smith throughout her career, including a sterling silver tray in recognition of her selection by the St. Louis Globe-Democrat as a Woman of Achievement in Science.

This collection consists of 17 instruments used by George H. Bishop when he was conducting physiology research at Washington University School of Medicine.

This collection consists of 231 photographs and negatives depicting scenes from Wendell G. Scott's professional life. The majority of the photographs in the collection were taken by Scott himself, including many images of his Barnes Hospital colleagues at work, and views of sailors working and undergoing physical therapy at a U.S. Navy Hospital. Depicted subjects also include Scott and colleagues x-raying patients, group portraits with Scott at cancer research events, and views of Dr. John Sappington's historic house.

This collection consists of 22 photographs of Omega Beta Pi fraternity members and exterior views of their chapter houses. The images were published in issues of "The Cover Glass," the official publication of the Omega Beta Pi Fraternity. See PC051 for issues of The Cover Glass.

This collection consists of 124 photographs, drawings, certificates, and glass slides from the personal and professional life of George H. Bishop. Photographs primarily include portraits of Bishop at work and at home, as well as group portraits of men and women attendees at annual George H. Bishop Lectures. The sketches depict portraits of unidentified men and women, including a few portraits of George and Ethel Ronzoni Bishop. Certificates include honorary memberships to scientific societies and a Doctor of Science degree certificate from Washington University. The glass slides depict saggital sections of the dorsal nucleus of the lateral geniculate body.

This collection consists of 9 caricatures reproduced by Petrolager Laboratories, Inc. from originals published in the 19th century. The caricatures each feature famous scientific figures from the world of medicine.

This collection consists of 36 photographs and slides from the personal and professional life of Justin J. Cordonnier. Depicted subjects include group portraits of Barnes Hospital staff and the Clinical Society of Genito-Urinary Surgeons, composite portraits that include Cordonnier, and scenes from the East London Hospital for Children. The slides depict silverware, serving dishes, and furniture, likely items that belonged to Cordonnier.

This collection consists of a bound volume titles "Comments on the Tropical Diseases of Liberia," by James Knott, M.D., Firestone Plantations Company. The volume contains 61 leaves of text in typescript and photographs fixed to subsequent pages marked 1-191, with three unnumbered photographs.

This collection consists of 37 metal printing plates from the Omega Beta Pi medical fraternity. The plates are primarily copper printing plates depicting portraits of Omega Beta Pi members.

This collection consists of 85 photographs documenting the personal and professional life of Henry G. Schwartz. Many of the images in the collection are digital surrogates of the the original photographs that primarily depict scenes with Schwartz and other men and women serving as United States Army officers in World War II. Additional digital images depict two young boys playing outside and posing on the steps of a house. The other photographs in the collection are primarily portraits of friends and colleagues of Schwartz, including Carl and Gerty Cori, Joseph Erlanger, Ernest Sachs, Sidney I. Schwab, and Evarts A. Graham. Those photographs (VC102069-084) are also arranged and described as Series 5 in the Henry G. Schwartz Papers (FC112).
