William James Sone Diploma, Photographs, and Instruments
Diploma, family photographs, biographical document, and dental instruments relating to the life and career of William James Sone, Class of 1901, Washington University Dental Department.
Most of the documents are course catalogs or commencement programs which are arranged in short series according to academic name. There are only a few unpublished items in the collection, including the notes of a Barnes medical student (1899-1900) and several Barnes Dental College contracts (1908-1915 with related letter).
This small collection includes a notebook kept by William P. Rowland with brief notes on obstetrical patients, 1888-1916. The notebook also includes 75 pages of notes in German, circa 1885.
The collection also includes a reprint of an address given by Rowland at the 1907 meeting of the North Missouri Medical Association.

The Nu Sigma Phi minute book, 1922-1924, consists of one document series organized chronologically. The minutes include information on the sorority’s business meetings, projects, activities, and membership. The records document the origin and development of the Washington University Lambda chapter during these years and the selection of women medical students, staff, and medical faculty for the sorority.
This small collection contains notebooks kept by Thomas S. Watson and several miscellaneous documents. The notebooks include those kept by Watson while he was a student at Missouri Medical College, and notebooks containing medical prescription formulas. The documents include medical treatment notes and documents related to Watson’s drug store.

This small collection includes six notebooks kept by Price Rowland during her time at Washington University School of Medicine. The topics of the notes include anesthesia, dermatology, dietetics, general medicine, gynecology, microscopy, neurology, pathology, pediatrics, physical diagnosis, physiology of blood, public health, obstetrics, otology, and surgery.

Looseleaf binder, 116 numbered leaves, with appendix and inserted printed matter. 1934. The spine of the binder reads: "W.U.; 1934; Neff; Bacteriology 206 ; Public health diagnosis; Dr. Willett; Mr. Pfau; Mr. Nagle."
This small collection consists of reprints, photographs, and medical instruments from Samuel E. Newman. Material includes reprints of Newman's publications, photographs and lantern slides depicting case subjects, and two proctology instruments.

Series 1 and 2 of the Max A. Goldstein papers include lecture notes and travel diaries, 1892-1894, the manuscript for his The Acoustic Method for the Training of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Child (1939), other manuscripts, reprints of articles, and pamphlets. Series 3 is notes from acoustical instrument catalogs, and Series 5 is a notebook on pathological anatomy and other subjects. Series 4 relates to Dr. Goldstein's purchase of antiquarian books that today form the CID-Max A. Goldstein Collection in Speech and Hearing. Series 6 consists of two letters by Helen Keller. Series 7 is Dr. Goldstein's English language paraphrase of a German article, “Die Sprache des Kindes,” by Ernst Tappolet. Series 8 consists of one letter by C.G. Goodwin. Series 9 contains Dr. Goldstein's monogrammed silk handkerchief.
