All documents are related to the development and deployment of a Medical Information System for the rapid ordering of medical tests utilizing a CRT screen and a Light Pen for input.
An undated typewritten compilation of Kane's "Medicine in St. Louis" articles that appeared originally in Weekley Bulletin of the St. Louis Medical Society, vol. 11, 1917. The first appeared in issue no. 7, February 15, 1917, and the last in issue no. 24, June 14, 1917. Bulletin editor J. Albert Seabold noted in issue no. 33, November 8, 1917, that "the Medical History of St. Louis articles were discontinued because of lack of appreciation." The compilation was likely made as late as the 1970s or 1980s by staff of the society library.

The records in this collection are of a variety of types from various years entered into ledgers of various sizes together with seventeen miscellaneous files. They include a ledger containing the directions of attending physicians concerning the care of hospital patients, financial ledgers, a ledger recording the causes and treatments of injuries diagnosed in Dispensary patients, two annual reports, and a complete set of case records of a urology patient.
This collection has been microfilmed. Users of the microfilm should disregard the target on reel 2 which mistakenly identifies it as reel 5.
