This collection consists of 124 photographs and glass lantern slides and an academic cap and gown from the personal and professional life of Helen Tredway Graham. Depicted subjects include portraits of Helen and her family from throughout her life, personal and professional photographs of Helen and her husband Evarts A. Graham, and photographs of and with the Grahams' colleagues at Washington University School of Medicine.

This collection consists of 103 certificates, medals, plaques, academic hoods, and miscellaneous memorabilia documenting the career of Evarts A. Graham. The certificates include degree certificates, honorary degree and fellowship certicates, award certificates, and memorial certificates from the Barnes Hospital Board of Trustees, the American College of Surgeons, and the State of Missouri. Medals, pins, and medallions include the French Legion D'Honneur Medal, the Lister Medal awarded by the Royal College of Surgery of England, the American Cancer Society Award Medal, among various award medals, distinguished service medals, and medical society medals. Miscellany includes a stethoscope owned by Graham, a Journal of Thoracic Surgey, Graham's application and membership cards to the St. Louis Medical Society, and a copy of a letter from Graham to Ernest Wynder informing Wynder of his cancer diagnosis.

This collection consists of 272 photographs and negatives depicting the construction of the Washington University School of Medicine Library, completed in 1989 and renamed the Bernard Becker Medical Library in May 1995.

This collection consists of 263 photographs and 1 glass lantern slide depicting scenes from Washington University School of Medicine Library. Depicted subjects include portraits of staff and library trainees, librarians at work and at events, various library interiors, and views from Medical Library Association and American Association for the History of Medicine meetings.

This collection consists of 166 photographs and glass lantern slides depicting the professional life of Evarts A. Graham. Primarily the photographs depict portraits of Graham, as well as various scenes of Graham lecturing to students, performing surgery, working with patients, and with colleagues at dinners or conferences.The collection also includes Barnes Hospital Surgical Staff photographs, interior views of Graham's office taken just after his death, and photographs sent to Graham from former students. The glass slides in the collection primarily depict demonstrations of a postural drainage table in various positions, and chest x-rays and microscopic views of lung tissue from Dr. James Gilmore.

This collection consists of 129 photographs depicting African-American alumni, students, and faculty of Washington University School of Medicine. The photographs primarily depict an event honoring members of the class of 1983 and a lecture or address given by James R. Gavin, III, Aubrey R. Morrison, and Joseph R. Simpson. The photographs also depict men and women at other alumni events.

This collection consists of 43 photographs of Evarts A. Graham and his colleagues, and 1 drawing. Depicted subjects include inscribed studio portraits of Graham's former students and colleagues, studio portraits of Graham, views of Graham performing an operation, group portraits of the American Board of Surgery, and views of Graham receiving the Lister Medal. Also included in the collection are several exterior views of Graham's St. Louis home, taken in 1995. The drawing depicts three mice smoking and was drawn by Ernst Wynder, Graham's student and coauthor on a study linking smoking with lung cancer.

The photographs depict scenes from a Meschoui (roasted sheep) Feast, including a tasting and judging of the meschoui by French Captain Louis Brajon, General Arthur R. Wilson, and Colonel Lee D. Cady. This collection consists of 35 architectural drawings, blueprints, and photographs depicting various plans for the Washington University School of Medicine library.

Photographs of personnel, buildings and facilities of BJC Healthcare institutions including the pre-merger Barnes and Jewish Hospitals. Most items are currently housed throughout the (RG046) BJC Healthcare Records accessions and have yet to be assigned individual VC numbers.

This collection consists of 82 photographs and prints depicting various topics including notable persons, class photos, buildings and institutes. Many items have been relocated to other subject classified collections. The collection itself appears to have many items removed from other collections, chiefly RG01C. Many prints have handwritten notations in pencil on their versos of "RG1." It is likely, sometime in the 1960s when the archival collections were first created, that photographs were removed from RG01C as the collection was originally processed. However, there was no record made of their original location in the other collections. Sometime in the early 1980s these prints were assigned VC099 and numbered individually in no particular order, but based on their original housing. With no clear collection identity VC099 became a collection for photographs which were accessioned individually or found within files without clear provenance. Since the 1990s effort was made to reassign photographs to related collections or to collections with appropriate provenance as well as could be determined.

This collecion consists of 566 photographs, negatives, slides, certificates, and artifacts that document the professional life of Mildred Trotter. Depicted subjects include portraits of Trotter from childhood and throughout her career, portraits of colleagues, and former students, as well as group portraits of Trotter at various class reunions from Mount Holyoke College and Washington University School of Medicine. Other significant subjects in this collection include: various views of Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda, where Trotter spent a term teaching at Makerere University College; photographs from Trotter's work with the U.S. Army Graves Registration Service at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii; and trips to China, Taiwan, and Antarctica.
