David E. Kennell Archives on St. Louis Doctors for Peace is largely Kennell's correspondence on the participation of the St. Louis Doctors for Peace in the nationwide Moratorium to End the War in Vietnam held on October 15, 1969. It also contains press releases and press coverage, posters, buttons, bumper stickers, flyers and other documentation about later activities of the St. Louis Doctors for Peace.

This small collection includes a draft and final copy of King's The Executive Faculty: An Administrative Tradition at the School of Medicine of Washington University, 1992.

A short history written by Dr. Owens titled, “History of Anesthesiology and the Department of Anesthesiology, Washington University in Saint Louis School of Medicine and Barnes Hospital, 1912-1992”.

Includes diary, unpublished essay "The Origin and Early Years of the American Board of Pediatrics", scrapbooks and certificates, publications and reprints. It also contains 3 letters by Borden Veeder to Helen W. Doyle, 1917-1919.

This collection consists of 126 photographs and certificates documenting the career of Virginia Minnich. Depicted subjects include class photographs of students at Washington University School of Medicine, portraits of Virignia Minnich as a young woman when she was Vilray P. Blair's patient, and scenes from Thailand, Turkey, and WUSM.

Minutes of meetings form the bulk of the record group. These document decisions on hiring, salaries, tenure, departmental organization, buildings and equipment, affiliated hospitals and clinics, general finance, and other matters of vital importance to the school. During most of its history, the Executive Faculty has met between ten and twenty times a year. Since 1946, agendas of meetings have been preserved along with the minutes.

This collection includes items related to The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis. From early community attempts to raise funds for a Jewish hospital; to the hospital’s construction at sites on Delmar Boulevard (completed in 1902), and later, on Kingshighway Boulevard (completed in 1926); and continuing up to and beyond its merger with Barnes Hospital in 1996, the history of Jewish Hospital is documented in a variety of material formats. The collection includes hospital statistics; correspondence; scrapbooks; newspaper and magazine clippings; VHS and cassette tapes; photographs; artifacts; hospital publications; administrative records; and staff biographical files. Also included are the files of multiple subsidiary and associated hospital organizations.  Of note is a set of key organizational documents for Jewish Hospital covering the years 1878-1977 ( series 11, sub-series 1); three large scrapbooks documenting hospital events and occurrences of the years 1927-1958 (series 5); and the collection of hospital publications ( series 9, sub-series 3), which includes serial magazines and annual reports of the hospital. Also of interest are the partial contents of the Delmar Boulevard hospital building’s 1901 cornerstone _(series 2, sub-series 1)and a collection of files documenting the 1962 hepatitis outbreak at Jewish Hospital (series 2, sub-series 2)._

The record group includes minutes of chapter meetings, chapter membership records and catalogs (directories) and bulletins of the national society which include sections on the Pi chapter. For example, the history of the Pi chapter is in the history of the national fraternity: The first half century of Nu Sigma Nu: 1882-1952, Published by the Nu Sigma Nu fraternity, 1953. The chapter membership books are biographical data sheets organized by the date each member was initiated. Membership data can also be found in the minute books.

Boyd recounts some of his experiences as a student at the Washington University School of Medicine in the 1920s and his recollections of instructors such as Barney Brooks and David Barr. Also covered are some of Boyd’s experiences as a general practitioner in Houston, Texas, especially during the Depression. Interviewed by Darryl Podoll on May 13, 1976. OH023. Anderson discusses his experiences as a student at the Washington University School of Medicine in the 1920s and some of his instructors, including Evarts A. Graham and Ernest Sachs. Anderson also details his experiences as senior medical officer on a hospital transport ship during World War II and his continuing study of abdominal surgery at the Allgemeine Krankenhaus at the University of Vienna. This collection consists of 63 Photographs, negatives and slides. The collection sonsists primarily of images of physicians, staff and structures of the Homer G. Phillips Hospital. The images were compiled by Frank O. Richards, M.D. as illustrations for his chapter "St. Louis Story - Homer G. Phillips Hospital," in: A Century of Black Surgeons: The U.S.A. Experience, ed. by Claude H. Organ and Margaret Kosiba (1987).

This collection consists of 124 photographs and glass lantern slides and an academic cap and gown from the personal and professional life of Helen Tredway Graham. Depicted subjects include portraits of Helen and her family from throughout her life, personal and professional photographs of Helen and her husband Evarts A. Graham, and photographs of and with the Grahams' colleagues at Washington University School of Medicine.
