This collection consists of 32 certificates and plaques from the professional life of Justin J. Cordionner, including diplomas, awards, membership certificates, and Board certifications.

O'Neal shares his memories of medical school and instructors such as Evarts A. Graham; internship and residency at Barnes Hospital; and his career as a surgeon.

Files pertaining to "Mission to Thailand," ("Our Heritage" series, St. Louis Metropolitan Medicine, 2002, July,:2001). They include 2002 letters from Ben Eiseman and Frank Vellios. The letters contain their reminiscences of Washington University program in Thailand in the early 1950s as part of the Medical Education Exchange Program. Documents from 1952 Dean's correspondence are a controversial "Coronet" magazine article on Eiseman, March 1952 and Robert A. Moore's report on medical education in Thailand.

The Lee Robins Papers consist of twelve organizational series on Lee Robins' research and her family.  The research studies (Series 1) and Interview schedules (Series 2) are the most noteworthy materials and the bulk of the collection.   Also included are family and professional photographs (Series 5), a full set of journal articles (Series 3), and her correspondence (Series 6-8) and manuscripts (Series 4) from her retirement.  Noteworthy in the biographical series (Series 9-10) are the SCRD oral history interviews with Lee Robins (also online) and typed interviews for a biography of Eli Robins.

This collection consists of 10 portraits of Lee N. Robins.

The Leo Loeb papers consist of Dr. Loeb’s note books, lectures, research notes and manuscripts,  and scrapbooks. The series of personal correspondence is largely incoming and fragmentary with some letters filed in  Series 8: Bibliographical notes on the medical literature, manuscripts, research pathology data and occasional related correspondence, Undated & 1921-1958. The papers also include notes and drafts for two unpublished books. One is on mental processes and titled _Psychical Goods_or _The Imponderables. _The other unfinished book is on cancer.

The M. G. Seelig Reprints is a collection of 92 scientific articles authored or co-authored by M. G. Seelig that have been bound in two separate volumes. Volume 1 (1904-1922) is titled “Seelig Reprints.” Volume 2 (1904-1947) is titled “Collected Papers of M. G. Seelig, M.D.” Subjects include shock, clinical surgery, cancer, surgical pathology, and medical history.

This small collection includes a draft and final copy of King's The Executive Faculty: An Administrative Tradition at the School of Medicine of Washington University, 1992.

The Margaret G. Smith Papers have been organized into seven organizational series. The majority of these files include items relating to her work in the Pathology Department at the Washington University School of Medicine. Noteworthy are Dr. Smith’s twenty-nine scientific notebooks in Series 1 as well as the files in Series 4 regarding Dr. Smith’s work on the St. Louis encephalitis outbreaks.

Curriculum vitae, scientific manuscripts, and collected reprints of shorter scientific publications, in three binders, 1948-1994.

Trotter discusses her interest in anatomy and the events leading her to joining the faculty of the Washington University School of Medicine department of Anatomy. She recounts several events in the history of the department and its heads over the years, including Robert J. Terry, Edmund V. Cowdry, and Edward Dempsey. Trotter describes serving as an anthropologist in Hawaii identifying skeletal remains after the Second World War, changes in the study and teaching of anatomy, and teaching for a year at Makerere University College in Kampala, Uganda. She also discusses changes in the Washington University School of Medicine over the course of her career as well as sex discrimination in salaries and promotion at the university. The transcript combines two conversations between Mildred Trotter and Estelle Brodman recorded in May, 1972. The transcript was edited in 1985 by Paul G. Anderson to present events of Dr. Trotter's life in chronological order. Emendations of Dr. Trotter's remarks are indicated by words or passages enclosed in brackets. The Mildred Trotter papers group consists of fourteen series. The Trotter papers are rich in information not only about her fields of expertise, but about the School of Medicine in general and about opportunities for women in medical science during the first half of the twentieth century. Users are advised to consult Series 1 first, since it contains narrative memoirs that may serve to place her accomplishments in contexts of her own choosing.

The record group includes minutes of chapter meetings, chapter membership records and catalogs (directories) and bulletins of the national society which include sections on the Pi chapter. For example, the history of the Pi chapter is in the history of the national fraternity: The first half century of Nu Sigma Nu: 1882-1952, Published by the Nu Sigma Nu fraternity, 1953. The chapter membership books are biographical data sheets organized by the date each member was initiated. Membership data can also be found in the minute books.
