The collection consists of an unbound typescript manuscript, "History of dermatology in St. Louis, Missouri" (1973, 274 leaves) and a later bound version of the manuscript, "Dermatology and Dermatologists in St. Louis" ([1984], 372 leaves). Included are histories of the Barnard Free Skin and Cancer Hospital, the Barnes Hospital dermatology staff, and the St. Louis Dermatological Society, and biographical information about 19th and 20th century St. Louis dermatologists.

This collection consists of 231 photographs and negatives depicting scenes from Wendell G. Scott's professional life. The majority of the photographs in the collection were taken by Scott himself, including many images of his Barnes Hospital colleagues at work, and views of sailors working and undergoing physical therapy at a U.S. Navy Hospital. Depicted subjects also include Scott and colleagues x-raying patients, group portraits with Scott at cancer research events, and views of Dr. John Sappington's historic house.

This collection consists of 166 photographs and negatives, primarily photographs depicting group and composite portraits of classes from the Washington University School of Dental Medicine from 1890 to 1991. This collection includes items related to The Jewish Hospital of St. Louis. From early community attempts to raise funds for a Jewish hospital; to the hospital’s construction at sites on Delmar Boulevard (completed in 1902), and later, on Kingshighway Boulevard (completed in 1926); and continuing up to and beyond its merger with Barnes Hospital in 1996, the history of Jewish Hospital is documented in a variety of material formats. The collection includes hospital statistics; correspondence; scrapbooks; newspaper and magazine clippings; VHS and cassette tapes; photographs; artifacts; hospital publications; administrative records; and staff biographical files. Also included are the files of multiple subsidiary and associated hospital organizations.  Of note is a set of key organizational documents for Jewish Hospital covering the years 1878-1977 ( series 11, sub-series 1); three large scrapbooks documenting hospital events and occurrences of the years 1927-1958 (series 5); and the collection of hospital publications ( series 9, sub-series 3), which includes serial magazines and annual reports of the hospital. Also of interest are the partial contents of the Delmar Boulevard hospital building’s 1901 cornerstone _(series 2, sub-series 1)and a collection of files documenting the 1962 hepatitis outbreak at Jewish Hospital (series 2, sub-series 2)._

The Sherwood Moore papers include correspondence, notes, reports, manuscripts, and reprints of articles. They document Dr. Moore’s interests in radiology, cholescystography, hospital administration, and his involvement in the work of Barnes Hospital, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, St. Louis Maternity Hospital, the School of Medicine administration, and the Department of Radiology.

This collection consists of 203 photographs, certificates, maps, drawings, x-rays, and stone and bone artifacts documenting Robert J. Terry's professional career and his hobbies. The collection includes many photographs of Terry from his student days at Cornell, Edinburgh University, and Missouri Medical College, through his career as Head of the Department of Anatomy at Washington University School of Medicine (WUSM). Additionally, the collection includes x-rays and photographs documenting anatomical research Terry conducted, photographs of the WUSM Department of Anatomy, and stone and bone artifacts from archaeological findings in Missouri, France, and England. Finally, the collection also includes Terry's academic regalia worn to WUSM graduation ceremonies as a faculty member.

This collection consists of 21 photographs, certificates, and artifacts from Robert C. Milburn, a graduate of Barnes Medical College in 1899. Photographs include group portraits with Milburn, including a composite portrait of Barnes Medical College class of 1899 and a tintype with Milburn and his partner Dr. J.A. Rea. Artifacts include clippings, a business card, a paperweight, a urinometer, and a surgical instrument kit.

This collection consists of 22 digital surrogates of photographs, negatives, and an oil portrait depicting Rita Levi-Montalcini and her laboratory. The physical objects in this collection are held in the Washington University Archive.

This small collection includes a presentation Dr. Hudgens gave during the Psychiatry Department grand rounds on October 24, 2000, titled "On the shoulders of giants, a tribute to Samuel B. Guze". An additional accession includes various items related to the School of Medicine student musical "New Facies of 1955" that was organized by the WUSM Class of 1956. Items include three 33 1/3 vinyl records recorded on April 16, 1955, a photograph of Dr. Hudgens singing during the musical, and song lyrics that have been edited by Dr. Hudgens. This collection also includes a brief typed description of Dr. Hudgens experience as a medical student at WUSM (1952-1956) written by Dr. Hudgens.
