The Baumgarten house at 2641 Chestnut Street.
This house was both a home and an office from about 1880-1900. The office was entered through a side gate leading to the cellar-office. The library shows not only books but an interest in art and a large desk-table built by Dr. Baumgarten. Gustav and Aminda in doorway. The house was torn down sometime after 1908. St. Louis, MO.
