This collection includes a book by Edmund Hunter titled, "History of the Pharmacology Department, 1900-1980" which includes a new (2011) preface and addendum titled "The Musings of a Reluctant Retiree, 1980-1984" by Margaret A. Phillips. Also included in this collection is a centennial celebration announcement and invitation (October 2011); 2011 Zebrafish calendar; Zebrafish Facility dedication invitation (May 2011); a stainless steel coffee mug commemorating the centennial celebration. The collection also includes the program and video of the ceremony and lecture commemorating the installation of Lilianna Solnica-Krezel as the Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Distinguished Professor of Developmental Biology on Monday, November 3, 2014. The video is 1 hour and 2 minutes in length and is recorded onto a DVD-R disc. A duplicate MP4 video file of the DVD recording has been made.

The records consist of the 1919 published history of the society and a ledger. The ledger contains the incorporation papers, bylaws, and meeting minutes. The overall significance of the ledger is to show the continuity of private ownership from times substantially antedating the University connection through to the period when the present medical campus was being planned.

Medical Fund Society meetings were held quarterly in January, April, July, and October until 1913. The April meeting was the annual meeting. Prior to 1913, the principal subject of the meetings was the ownership and maintenance of the instructional and clinical buildings. With its landlord function dissolved, meetings were held less frequently. The last entries were made in 1950, when the Society ceased operations.

This collection includes items relating to the Medical Department of Kemper College, the Medical Department of the University of the State of Missouri, and Missouri Medical College.  Of particular note are the annual announcements and catalogs in Series 1 which include course listings, faculty names, and student rosters.  There are 15 bound volumes in this collection that include incomplete years of faculty meeting minutes, matriculation registers, and student grades.

This collection documents both Washington University’s Program in Occupational Therapy, and its predecessor, the St. Louis School of Occupational Therapy. This collection includes administrative records, student notebooks, information regarding scholarships, photographs, publications, and accreditation documents.

The records in this collection are of a variety of types from various years entered into ledgers of various sizes together with seventeen miscellaneous files. They include a ledger containing the directions of attending physicians concerning the care of hospital patients, financial ledgers, a ledger recording the causes and treatments of injuries diagnosed in Dispensary patients, two annual reports, and a complete set of case records of a urology patient.

This collection has been microfilmed. Users of the microfilm should disregard the target on reel 2 which mistakenly identifies it as reel 5.

This small collection includes several Siteman Cancer Center's "Report to Our Community" 2001-2008; the 1999 annual report; an invitation to the Center's grand opening, 2001; and the text of an application for National Cancer Institute support grant, 2006.

This collection includes items relating to BJC Health System (later BJC HealthCare), with a particular focus on the hospitals of the Washington University Medical Campus and Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Though the collection is mainly composed of items dating from just before and following the creation of Barnes-Jewish, Inc. in March of 1993, there are also some items included for organizational purposes from Barnes Hospital and Jewish Hospital prior to their affiliation and eventual merger in 1996. Of particular note are the biographical files (series 2) of prominent Barnes Hospital, Jewish Hospital, Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and BJC HealthCare employees, affiliates, and volunteers. Also significant are the Barnes-Jewish Hospital Board of Directors materials (series 4), which include those from the first year of Barnes-Jewish Hospital’s existence following the 1996 merger, and materials relating to the merger and post-merger integration (series 10). The collection also includes publications, photographs, newspaper clippings, scrapbooks, artifacts, audio-visual materials, and staff lists, as well as files related to Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital and Washington University.

Researchers should note that the inventory for this collection is not yet complete.

Publications, correspondence, and photographs related to the Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corporation (WUMCRC). Correspondence is primarily that of Eugene Kilgen, Executive Director of the WUMCRC. Included are two copies of a 16mm color film with sound entitled "How the West End is Winning" produced by McDonough-Jones Productions.
