This collection consists of 306 Photographs, postcards, and course cards collected by Robert E. Schleuter. The photographs and postcards primarily depict hospitals in England, France, Austria, Germany, and St. Louis. A selection of the postcards depict medical subjects in art, as well as French postcards depicting "humorous" medical subjects. The course cards are from St. Louis Medical College and Missouri Medical College.

Collection includes Curtman’s valedictory address to the 1869 class of the Missouri Medical College, a scrapbook of obituaries and biographical articles about Curtman, and an 1865 United States internal revenue license issued to Curtman to practice as a physician in Memphis.

This large collection contains a number of meeting minutes, including those from the Missouri Dental College faculty and board of trustees, as well as minutes from the dean and faculty of the Washington University School of Dental Medicine. Also included in this collection are accreditation documents, curriculum materials, student yearbooks, publications, and various alumni records. Of note is Series 6 which consists of the files kept by Harriett Steuernagel, the long-time librarian at the dental school.

Minutes of the St. Louis Dental Society, 1872-1886 & 1921-1929, with the minutes of two allied professional organizations: Dentists’ Scientific and Benevolent Association, 1883-1884, and St. Louis Society of Dental Science, 1906-1924.

This collection consists of 31 anatomical drawings and sketches of the human body by Charles A. Todd. Specifically, Todd's drawings depict human skulls and facial features from various angles, as well as anatomical sketches of the human body at rest or in motion.

This small collection includes a few of Dr. Tuholske's reprints as well as other articles written about him. Reprints, addresses, and manuscript papers associated with surgical pathology, the lives of Tuholske and his colleagues, and Missouri Medical College. Many manuscripts are on the letterhead of the Surgical and Gynecological Hospital where Tuholske was affiliated.

Most of the documents are course catalogs or commencement programs which are arranged in short series according to academic name. There are only a few unpublished items in the collection, including the notes of a Barnes medical student (1899-1900) and several Barnes Dental College contracts (1908-1915 with related letter).

The Female Hospital of St. Louis records include a patient register (volume 20 x 15.5 inches) containing names of patients admitted to the hospital, 1876-1886, and a booklet, "Rules and regulations for the government of the Female Hospital submitted by the health commissioner to the board of health, John D. Stevenson, health commissioner," 1884.

Scrapbooks compiled by Frank J. Lutz, 1876-1915, a volume called "Doctors registered with the Missouri Board of Health, and letters and reports concerning a proposed world medical conference to be held during the St. Louis Worlds Fair, 1904.

The scrapbooks document Lutz's professional life and interests in documents such as clippings, invitations, menus, letters, and certificates. In the scrapbooks are memorabilia of Lutz professional associations meetings and St. Louis medical schools and hospitals where he was on the staff or faculty. Newspaper coverage of physicians, medical matters, and medical societies, colleges, and hospitals is largely local but also national and international.
