This collection consists of 21 photographs, certificates, and artifacts from Robert C. Milburn, a graduate of Barnes Medical College in 1899. Photographs include group portraits with Milburn, including a composite portrait of Barnes Medical College class of 1899 and a tintype with Milburn and his partner Dr. J.A. Rea. Artifacts include clippings, a business card, a paperweight, a urinometer, and a surgical instrument kit.

The record group concerns the selection of medical students for the society and the development of the local chapter. The records list many members who became prominent in their fields. The Alpha Omega Alpha fraternity records consist of three volumes, 1905-1957, that include the initial charter and constitution and by-laws, minutes of chapter meetings, treasury records, chapter membership lists, other by-laws, correspondence, and publications. This collection consists of 15 photographs of Robert J. Glaser, 1920?-1965 and 23 drawings by Aphrodite J. Hofsommer, 1929-1939?. Photographs include group portraits of the Harvard University Lancet Club, views from a Boston City Hospital Centennial and Thorndike Memorial Laboratory 40th anniversary event, views of the Streptococcal Clinic at Washington University School of Medicine, and scenes from a dinner party with Glaser and Arthur Kornberg. The drawings were created by Aphrodite J. Hofsommer for publications by Drs. Ernest Sachs, Meyer Wiener, Bennet Y. Alvis, Ellis Fischel, and others, in the 1920s and 1930s.

The record group includes minutes of chapter meetings, chapter membership records and catalogs (directories) and bulletins of the national society which include sections on the Pi chapter. For example, the history of the Pi chapter is in the history of the national fraternity: The first half century of Nu Sigma Nu: 1882-1952, Published by the Nu Sigma Nu fraternity, 1953. The chapter membership books are biographical data sheets organized by the date each member was initiated. Membership data can also be found in the minute books.

This collecion consists of 566 photographs, negatives, slides, certificates, and artifacts that document the professional life of Mildred Trotter. Depicted subjects include portraits of Trotter from childhood and throughout her career, portraits of colleagues, and former students, as well as group portraits of Trotter at various class reunions from Mount Holyoke College and Washington University School of Medicine. Other significant subjects in this collection include: various views of Mulago Hospital in Kampala, Uganda, where Trotter spent a term teaching at Makerere University College; photographs from Trotter's work with the U.S. Army Graves Registration Service at Schofield Barracks, Oahu, Hawaii; and trips to China, Taiwan, and Antarctica.

This small collection includes a presentation Dr. Hudgens gave during the Psychiatry Department grand rounds on October 24, 2000, titled "On the shoulders of giants, a tribute to Samuel B. Guze". An additional accession includes various items related to the School of Medicine student musical "New Facies of 1955" that was organized by the WUSM Class of 1956. Items include three 33 1/3 vinyl records recorded on April 16, 1955, a photograph of Dr. Hudgens singing during the musical, and song lyrics that have been edited by Dr. Hudgens. This collection also includes a brief typed description of Dr. Hudgens experience as a medical student at WUSM (1952-1956) written by Dr. Hudgens.

Hudgens relates some of his experiences as a student at WUSM in the 1950s and some of his influential professors, such as Edward Dempsey, Carl Moore, George Saslow, and Sam Guze. Hudgens also discusses the development of his interest in psychiatry, his medical residencies in Virginia and North Carolina, his experiences as a staff psychiatrist at the U.S. Air Force Hospital at Lackland AFB in Texas, and his experiences on the faculty and in the administration of the Washington University School of Medicine. Davidson discusses his experiences as a medical student at Washington University School of Medicine, his internship at St. Louis City Hospital, and his fellowship in Cardiology at the National Heart Institute in Bethesda, Maryland, which involved the study of hypertension. Davidson discusses research at St. Luke’s Hospital on treatments to decrease the amount of heart damage after a heart attack. Davidson also discusses changes in medical education from the late 1940s/early 1950s to the mid-1970s, and medical malpractice insurance and Medicaid problems facing physicians in the 1970s.
